Ten tips for safer cell phone use.

Cell phones emit radiation when “ON” whether one is sending a message or not. Many studies indicate that frequent cell phone users have increased risks for brain tumors and other health related problems.

To be on the safe side, follow these tips to reduce exposure to EMR.
1. Use a low radiation phone.
2. Use the phone on speaker mode at least eight inches from your head.
3. Use a headset with an air tube.
4. Keep the cell phone away from your body at all times. Not in your pocket if “on”.
5. Choose texting over talking.
6. If the signal is poor, stay off the phone.
7. Do not use your cell phone in an enclosed area like elevator, airplane, car.
8. Do not allow children to use the cell phone. For one reason, their blood brain barrier is not developed.
9. Keep your cell phone off. Turn on, only when needed.
10. Do not sleep near your phone unless it is off.

Security Concerns with the Smart Meter

Without my permission the gas and electric companies are transmitting these dangerous EMF’s  into my house with the Smart Meter. Plus without my permission they are monitoring the entire appliance and electrical usage inside my house. They are electronically trespassing! They are transmitting this data over the network of meters in our neighborhood for an upload to a central link. So in effect, anyone can tap into this link and know all of my information. Most importantly, the possible hackers would know whether I was home or not! That is disturbing to me!

Are the Smart Meters that are being installed safe for our health?

The Smart Meter is the latest assault on you and everyone in this country!

Smart Meters will be installed in everyone’s home in the next few years. It sounds like a great idea. The reality is that these meters transmit in two bandwidths – 900 and 915 megahertz. They are transmitted from the meters omni directionally, meaning that our homes are bombarded with Electro Magnetic Frequencies (EMF’s) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just get your meter reader or smog detector out and see for yourself. The RF is constant! The Smart Meter is a real health concern.

The health consequences are real! I have asked that they not install one on my house. They are on hold.

How do I best make my sleeping space an EMR free zone?

You can best prepare your sleeping area by following these few tips:
~Do not sleep with your cell phone turned on or recharging next to your bed.
~Turn off  and unplug your computer when not in use.
~Replace cordless phones with wired phones.
~Replace your Wireless Internet with routers and hard wired units.
~Get rid of dimmer switches on lights.
~Replace halogen lights and fluorescent lights with regular incandescent ones.
~Instead of an electric blanket, use cotton or wool blankets, hot water bottle, your dog, whatever…
~Move all electric devices at least six feet away from your bed, including your electric alarm clock.
~Make sure the bed is against a wall where there is no electrical meter or fuse box behind it.
~Unplug your TV when not in use, which gives off high levels of electric fields.
~Get rid of your metal headboard or find a way to ground it.
~Get rid of metal box springs.
~Get rid of water beds as they are a conductor of Electro magnetic energy.
~Relocated any electric wires that might be running under your bed.

Are cordless phones hazardous to our health?

Yes, cordless phones are hazardous to our health. Consider the base station of the cordless phone. Its  antenna radiates microwaves for hundreds of feet. this radiation is also coming from the handset antenna. There are several phones to consider. Some phones emit RF when in use only. The newer phones and their base station emit all the time.

If possible, replace all cordless phones with land lines!

Is there a problem with using compact florescent lights?

Compact florescent lights (CFL), (which are energy efficient and that is why they are used), generate radio frequency radiation, ultraviolet radiation and dirty electricity. The flicker that one often sees can trigger headaches, fatigue, and eye strain, etc. in the hypersensitive.

CFL’s contain mercury, a known neurotoxin.

Obama Promises “Smart Meters” In Our Homes, But What Are Smart Meters?

In Obama’s speech yesterday after signing the “stimulus” into law he mentioned saving energy by installing something called “smart meters” in the homes of Americans.
Today, the electricity we use is carried along a grid of lines and wires that dates back to Thomas Edison, a grid that can’t support the demands of clean energy. This means we’re using 19th- and 20th-century technologies to battle 21st-century problems like climate change and energy security.
It also means that places like North Dakota can produce a lot of wind energy but can’t deliver it to communities that want it, leading to a gap between how much clean energy we are using and how much we could be using.
The investment we are making today will create a newer, smarter electric grid that will allow for the broader use of alternative energy. We will build on the work that’s being done in places like Boulder, Colorado, a community that is on pace to be the world’s first Smart Grid city. This investment will place Smart Meters in homes to make our energy bills lower, make outages less likely and make it easier to use clean energy.
It’s an investment that will save taxpayers over $1 billion by slashing energy costs in our federal buildings by 25 percent and save working families hundreds of dollars a year on their energy bills by weatherizing over 1 million homes. And it’s an investment that takes the important first step towards a nationwide transmission superhighway that will connect our cities to the windy plains of the Dakotas and the sunny deserts of the Southwest.
Now, I’m not necessarily against upgrading our electrical grid, but I do have to marvel at the spectacle of Obama promising a new electrical grid to bring from North Dakota to the rest of the nation wind energy that, frankly, wouldn’t exist if it weren’t heavily subsidized by the government. Essentially, what Obama is wanting to do is bring to market an energy product that wouldn’t exist without government subsidy and that wouldn’t even be used if it weren’t for additional government subsidy and mandate of its use.
I won’t even mention the taxpayers being billed to weatherize the homes of people who couldn’t be bothered to get up off the couch long enough to hang up some plastic sheeting and rubber strips on their own.
What really caught my attention was this “Smart Meters” thing. During the campaign Obama said that we can’t just have our thermostats set wherever we want (even though he sure likes cranking the thermostat in his own office, the big hypocrite). Is this “Smart Meters” thing a way for the government to monitor our energy consumption?
It appears as though it is, and I wonder if the Smart Meters the “stimulus bill’ is going to put into place are going to report our energy consumption to the government? If so, what an awful thing!
If the government starts monitoring our energy consumption, it will only be so long until the government is dictating to us how much energy we can use.
And what does that have to do with freedom and liberty?
It should would have been nice if we could have read and debated this bill before Democrats pushed it through Congress• Published on SayAnythingBlog.com
